Their off-kilter approach is in reality a reflection of the band’s founder, Jared Boulanger who writes and composes all of the group’s material. The Sour Notes – Sleater Kinney’s “Modern Girl” – The Cosmic Clash

Check out Austin-based indie band, The Sour Notes take on Sleater-Kinney’s “Modern Girl”!  While on tour in Portland, the group had a chance to play in front of Janet Weiss (Sleater-Kinney) who had randomly stopped by the club.  The chance encounter inspired Sour Notes founder, Jared Boulanger to create his own version of the legendary Portland outfit’s song, “Modern Girl.” Boulanger describes the experience in his own words below:
