Read MoreThe Black Angels latest recording, Wilderness Of Mirrors (released Friday), was celebrated by the band with an intimate gathering at the new The 13th Floor Bar location, now on Red River near 8th in the Red River District. Announcement of the show and available tickets happened only a week ago. Within a short amount of time the sub-200 capacity venue was sold out.

The group was voted Artist of the Month by The Deli Austin readers in July. The band recently provided support for Young Rising Sons at 3TEN Austin at ACL Live. Cosmic Clash Presents even had the Joel De La Garza-led act on one of our bills before they unfortunately had to bow out last minute. We’re happy to have a hand in announcing their record release this week as a consolation prize. As a bonus, one of our local favorites, Darkbird perform with Midcentury rounding out the bill. It’ll be an energizing night of rock n roll for local music fans.

The Cosmic Clash recently sat down with Robynn at Detroit style pizza-pie joint VIA 313 in Austin to discuss her latest album, Coffee Days and Whiskey Nights. This is Robynn’s third release, after her self-titled debut and a sophomore album Rebel Child.
