Live music photos: Pinky Fest by The Pinky Rings at Far Out Lounge featured eight bands
On Saturday, June 7 Pinky Fest organized by Austin punk band The Pinky Rings took place at South Austin venue The Far Out Lounge and Stage. The event featured live music from eight bands showing their take on punk, hardcore, garage and indie rock. Besides the all-female foursome show host The Pinky Rings, Â a raft of Austin acts including Molly Ringworm, Think No Think, Die Mart, Cormae, NSFWHO, Tied Up and Dregs performed on an unseasonably warm Spring day in Central Texas. Despite the heat, fans showed up as did our intrepid shutterbug, Troy Gonzales. Â A vendor market from Vibe City Markets was set up along with food from Knuckle Sandwich food truck. By all accounts, fun was had by all.
The photos below and our featured image were all captured by The Cosmic Clash photographer, Troy Gonzales. If you’re one of our seven readers then you’re already familiar with this longtime Austin music photographer’s work. Mr. Gonzales is currently using a Nikon D7200 camera.
We’ve linked each band to their Bandcamp page or proprietary website below. Check out their music, buy records and merchandise directly from artists whenever possible to show your support.
