Fresh off his first Grammy win for Best Bluegrass Album, Home, Billy Strings is streaming what his team hopes is the band’s last live stream concerts of the year this month before hitting the road for live dates. Strings winds up his live stream tour at ACL Live in Austin with a two-set, live stream broadcast to benefit SIMS Foundation this Friday, March 26. SIMS is an organization that provides mental health and addiction services to Austin music industry members and their families. It is the only music industry focused mental health non-profit of its kind in the nation.

Before the group arrives in Austin to film the ACL Live performance, Strings will live stream for two nights from the legendary Tipitina’s in New Orleans on March 24-25. Those ticket sales will benefit the venue which is owned by NOLA-based jam band, Galactic. Fans can purchase tickets individually or grab a three night pass for $49. The stream will be available on-demand for 48 hours after viewers press play.

Billy Strings has emerged as one of the best, currently touring bluegrass guitarists, earning notoriety as a flatpicker extraordinaire. After covering his performance at ACL Festival in 2019 we completely agree. Not only was his Grammy win deserved but his live performance is even better than the record. For those lucky enough to have grabbed tickets for his sold-out socially distanced show on the Long Center lawn on Sunday, they’ll be among the first to see the this scintillating live performance in 2021.

Billy Strings continues his in-person tour following the band’s visit to Austin at the Columbia Motor Speedway in South Carolina for four consecutive dates.  One of those dates has already sold out. There are another three sold-out dates listed at Denver’s Mission Ballroom in October. It’s clear that the group is experiencing a “Grammy bump” in interest in the band following their win. Grab tickets in your area before they sell out.
