Austin’s 80’s freestyle synth-pop act Primo the Alien, will be celebrating the release of her latest single “#1 Alien” at Mohawk tonight (October 25). “#1 Alien” is a time-warp that takes you back to an era where heavy synth melodies, electronic dance beats and power vocals ruled the airwaves. “#1 Alien” starts off with a driving synth, layered with a deep, driving dance beat leading up to a melodic hook. The track features Primo’s distinct, powerhouse vocals and will have you waiving your arms on your living room dance floor. The single references the freestyle movement with artists like Shannon (Let the Music Play) and Debbie Deb (Look Out Weekend).

Primo the Alien is the alter-ego of artist/producer Laura Lee Bishop. Her mission is to travel the universe in search of wild parties, Aquanet and glitter all while speeding in her Delorian at 88Mph. “#1 Alien” was entirely written, produced and recorded by Bishop.
