Mike CosmicSXSW 2012

Burger Records & Burger City bring you Burgermania! @ The Spider House, SXSW 2012 (Part 2 of 3) – The Cosmic Clash

Pangea–   Pangea second time around. Straight out of L A., these punkers have a style that will have you following their lead . With a stage synergy and  lyrics like “We don’t hold hands anymore, We just give head anymore ” who doesn’t want to sing/scream out loud too? All I can say is that they are fun, fun , fun! It is also worth while to check out Pangea’s album Living Dummy,  it is a nice piece of vinyl to add to your collection. Tough Shits – Missed this band during Burgermania well, Tough Shits! 😛

The Tough Shits rocked out the Spider House Garden Stage, with a name like that who would have guessed they where out of Philly? Totally living up to their name, they packed a Tough classic rock n roll sound, and leaving out the Shits. Their sound carries a bit of  Johnny Thunders meets T-Rex while having burgers with Thin Lizzy. These guys will have your head bopping and fist pumping!  You can check out a couple of their tracks on their myspace by clicking here.

Apache(Tribute to Omar) – Anthem after anthem Apache always brings the party to the table. This time around the partying was a little to much for lead vocalist Omar. While Omar was recovering at the hospital there was no lack of support and the show turned into a tribute of  sorts. With Omar’s spirit high in the air, the party went on while the crowd  helped fill Omar’s void. Although the bands line up was different from the last time I caught up with them, bassist Chuck still represented the reason why I love this band! Apache still brings the Rock into the Roll!

I managed to record a Hi-Fi/Low Res. rendition of Outside featuring bassist ‘Fletch’  from The Bare Wires on Vocals.

Also check out Apache’s  Radical Sabbatical on Burger Records ,  the  Bloody Knuckles 7″ is not a bad catch either!

(Note: Omar is also the drummer for The Bare Wires)
