Metallica @ XGames 2015 ~ June 6th – The Cosmic Clash

Metallica @ XGames 2015

A couple of weeks ago, I got the chance to check out Metallica at the XGames.  Although my love for the band is not as strong as it used to be, I will admit that I had my fist pumping and was singing along. They played an amazing set that brought me straight back to the 6th grade – back when Metallica was the voice of the youthful pariahs and delinquents (or wannabes), whose cassettes my mom wouldn’t let me buy.  However, today’s Metallica was more like a family outing. The stage was filled with fans standing behind the band, and I swear some of those kids couldn’t be more than twelve years old.  Where before parents were saying, “Turn that racket off and get it out of my house!” this show had parents, apparently, saying “Ok kids, let’s go to the Metallica concert!” “Yay!” But then again it was the XGames.

Metallica… Lazers… Big Screens… and this amazing set.
