Bitter Birds @ Cheer Up Charlies – The Cosmic Clash
Bitter Birds is a three piece band with an innovative percussion section,their feet! I caught Bitter Birds at Cheer Up Charlies on Austins East Sixth. Musicians at heart, it was very cool to see their bassist Marcos Lujan get into the groove and beat those bass notes into existence. While drummer / guitarist David Lujan and vocalist / other guitarist Mayberry collaborated vocals at times. The group has a Kim Deal / The Dears mix sound to them, very indie. 🙂
